The sourcing of our products is essential: it is the first step in our quality and sustainable development policy. All our purchases are certified according to current international regulations, specific to each species. We impose the same requirements on our suppliers: all our products are inspected to guarantee perfect traceability for our customers.

All our fish is prepared, cut and packaged in-house, enabling us to handle large volumes. To meet the specific needs of each customer, cutting and preparation can also be made to order, all on a just-in-time basis, since production takes place on the same day as the sale. The result is a flexible, responsive supply of quality products, fully in line with current market expectations in terms of freshness.

We have the largest -60°C storage area in France, as well as a second at -25°C, on a total surface area of 6,000m2, with storage capacity for 3,000 pallets. Ideally located in Béziers, at the gateway to Spain, our plant is in the process of obtaining IFS certification.

Trading is a major activity at Barba. Specialists in tuna and swordfish, we have been linked by strong international partnerships for many years. In 2021, no less than 400 containers from the Indian Ocean were sold. Every week, we are able to offer you a wide choice of fresh and exotic products, depending on arrivals and the seasons.
